dactyl n metrical foot consisting of one stressed syllable followed by two unstressed syllables, as in the line `under the `hangs on the /`bough' 扬抑抑格(即一重音节後接两个轻音的音步, 如 `under the /`blossom that /`hangs on the /`bough).
